Overview:

Global Quick Service Restaurant initiated a study into their finance processes for their Japan operations. Aim was to improve finance controls and efficiencies. A ‘process improvement pilot’ had been completed and the results indicated the BPR scope might need to be changed going forward.

 

Strategies & Solutions International was asked to help the Executive in Japan and senior stakeholders from the US Company determine the best way forward.

 

Approach:

1. Facilitated several meetings between the Japan project team and the Executives (Japan & US) to:

   1. Clarify outcomes/lessons from pilot.

   2. Determine the impact of these lessons

2. Developed and ran  a work with Finance & IT Executives from Japan and the US

3. Workshop output clarified the business objectives, how IT can support them and the next steps – developing a business case for a new finance system.

4. Business case scope was then detailed, documented and presented to the Executive – now in progress of being completed.
